Windows Install
A Beam account is not required to install the Beam Desktop App; however, in order to connect to a device, you must have access to that Beam via a Beam account.Installing the Beam Desktop App for Windows
- Using Google Chrome, open a browser window to:
- Select 'Download' under the Suggested Installer section
- When complete, click the download to open the Beam App
- A warning will appear:
'Windows protected your PC
Microsoft Defender SmartScreen prevented an unrecognize app from starting. Running this app might put your PC at risk."

- Select 'Run anyway'
- A warning will appear:
'Do you want to allow this app from an unknown publisher to make changes to your device?

File origin: Hard drive on this computer - Click 'Yes'
- Click the Beam App in your taskbar to open the application window
- Select Next > to continue through the Beam installation Setup Wizard
- When finished, 'Run' the Beam App
- Complete the Beam Setup
- Log in to view your available Beams
