    • Select your preferred device from the available devices listed.
  • To change the speaker volume:
    • Click and drag the slider bar below the drop-down menu.

Microphone Settings
Microphone settings control the volume level projected out of the Beam's speaker.

  • To change which audio input device the application uses:
    • Click the blue drop-down menu bar to view all accessible input devices.
    • Select your preferred device from the available devices listed.
  • Enable automatic gain control for input level
Checking this box allows the application to automatically assign appropriate volume levels based on detected noise level. For example, moving away from the microphone while you talk will cause the volume to rise.
    • By enabling this option, you forego the ability to manually adjust the microphone levels.
      • Recommended setting: Disable in loud environments.
  • To standardize your input level:
    • Click the Detect optimal input level button.
    • Speak into the microphone at a normal speaking level.
    • The system will record the detected audio and playback your recording.
Note: Don't be alarmed if you do not hear yourself during playback. This is not an indication of a problem.

Beam Settings
Beam settings control Beam specific features as opposed to pilot side audio.

  • Party Mode
Party mode is intended for use in loud environments. Enabling this option will intensify the noise cancellation utility at the back of the Beam.
    • The effectiveness of the Party Mode feature may be reduced on Beam Standard and Enhanced models due to lesser microphones present.
  • Automatic Volume Control
Automatic volume allows the Beam to determine the appropriate volume levels based on the Beam's environment.
    • Recommended setting: Enable unless you are utilizing an external sound amplifier.
