Beam App Error - App Closes When I Click Beam In

Upon upgrading your macOS to Catalina 10.15, you may be unable to connect to a Beam in your lobby. If your application crashes when clicking "Beam In", apply our successfully tested techniques to overcome this issue: 

  1. Following the crash, a Problem Report will appear indicating the "Beam quit unexpectedly"
  2. Select "Reopen" to relaunch
  3. Right-click on the exec icon that appears in your dock
  4. Select "Options" > K"eep in Dock"
  5. Use the exec icon to launch the Beam App from this point forward

If the Problem Report Dialogue Box does not appear: 

Launch the app from the terminal instead:

    1. Open a new Terminal window on your Mac (press "command+spacebar")
    2. Type "terminal"
    3. Double click the Terminal icon to open
    4. Copy the command below and paste it into the terminal window:

      /Applications/Beam.app/Contents/Resources/bin/beam ; exit;

    5. A new "exec" icon should appear in your dock. 
    6. Right-click on the exec icon
    7. Select "Options" > "Keep in Dock"
    8. Use the exec icon to launch the Beam App from this point forward
