Beam HIPAA Compliance
Beam Presence Technology is widely used throughout the healthcare industry. As it stands, Beam does not currently require HIPAA compliance as it does not store protected health information or sensitive patient data and therefore qualifies as a HIPAA Conduit Exception.
To ensure the privacy of its users, Beam call data is securely encrypted using AES 256. No data is stored in the cloud infrastructure.
For details regarding how Beam data is transferred, see our Beam Network Admin Guide, Section 3.2 Confidentiality.
