Setting a Static IP Address for Beam
Beam is not designed to use a static IP. This feature is limited to allow multiple networks to be configured and used simultaneously. If more than one network is configured and a static IP is assigned, the Beam cannot roam between networks.
However, if your firewall or security protocol deems it necessary, consider creating a DHCP reservation based on the Beam's MAC address. See Locating a Beam's MAC Address for instructions for locating Beam system data.
For more information on this and other networking considerations, check out our Beam Network Administrator Guide.
