Organization Admin vs Device Group Admin
The role of Organization Administrator within an Enterprise Beam Organization is automatically assigned to the account holder (email address) used to link the Beam to the organization. The organization administrator has full managerial control of the organization. Admins with this permission level can perform tasks including:
- Inviting new and temporary users (including importing users in bulk via .CSV file)
- Promoting users to organization admin or device group admin
- Removing any user or administrator (including their own account)
- Adding new Beams
- Changing organization name
- Customizing email notifications and invitation messages
- Editing primary contact information
- Creating and editing user groups
- Creating and editing device groups (including adding Devices, Members, Access Times, Reservations, Settings)
- Editing Beam details (e.g., Name, Location Labels, Time Zone, and Image)
- Viewing Beam system information (e.g., Serial Number, Software Version, SSID, Mac and IP Addresses)
- Adding Beam Content
- Integrating Office 365 (for use of reservation tool)
- Implementing SSO authentication (via Okta, OneLogin, AD FS)
- Viewing notifications (including access requests)
- Viewing Beam/user activity using Activity Viewer
- Restarting and shutting down Beam(s) remotely
- Access Beam Admin Tool API
A Device Group Administrator is a user with permission to manage a specific device(s) housed within a single device group in an Enterprise Beam Organization. A device group admin can perform the following tasks for or within the device group of which they administer:
- Inviting new and temporary users
- Promoting users to device group admin
- Removing other users or administrators
- Editing device group settings (adding Members, Access Times, Reservations, Settings)
- Editing Beam details (e.g., Name, Location Labels, Time Zone, and Image)
- Viewing Beam system information (e.g., Serial Number, Software Version, SSID, Mac and IP Addresses)
- Adding Beam Content
- Viewing notifications (including access requests)
- Viewing Beam/user activity using Activity Viewer
- Restarting and shutting down Beam(s) remotely
