Summer is a great time for telepresence users. Not only can you Beam into work from wherever you are (the beach, a mountain top, traveling around the world, and so on), but also you can participate in the inevitable extra fun activities that summer brings.

Here are a few of the highlights of our summer:

National Donut Day (June 1)

We’re always happy to be a part of company’s culture… and nothing says “culture” like taking advantage of special days like National Donut Day! It’s also satisfying to know that you can remotely take part in office fun, too.

World Cup 2018 (June 14 - July 15)

We are huge soccer (football/futbol) fans, and the World Cup was a huge highlight of the summer! Not only did we cheer on our favorite international teams, but we also enjoyed playing our own version of the game. Self-propelled mobility is always a big win for remote workers - and especially when you’re inspired by real-world events, like the World Cup!

Independence Day (July 4)

Beam is all about letting freedom ring - telepresence technology is one of the best ways to free yourself from geographic constraints when it comes to being where you need to be, when you need to be there! For July 4th, we showed our colors (and patriotic patterns) in celebration.

World Emoji Day (July 17)

We ???? taking part in office shenanigans, and World Emoji day was just too ???? of an excuse to bond with co-workers.

John G. Shedd Aquarium (July 25)

“John G. Beam” was a featured guest at an ADA 25 Advancing Leadership event at Chicago’s John G. Shedd Aquarium in July. ADA 25 Advancing Leadership is dedicated to “shaping emerging leaders with disabilities (visible and invisible) to lead with power and influence,” and we were happy to be there to help attendees take a deep dive into how telepresence technology (among other advances) is an accessibility game changer.

International Cat Day (August 8)

Beam are so easy to pilot, even your pet can do it! That may be a slight exaggeration, but truthfully, popping in to sneak a peek at your kitty in the middle of the day is a purrfect use of Beam.
